Meet Marlene
CPKids Choir “Starlings” Director
Marlene has always loved to sing and perform, and her earliest, most meaningful memories center around music. Marlene first came to the College Park Kids Choir as the parent of an enthusiastic 4-year-old singer. She is excited to assist Choir Director Bri McGeehan in Fall 2026 and help lead the Starlings choir of Pre-K - 7-year-olds.
Marlene has bachelor’s degrees in Arabic and French and a minor in Music (voice) from the University of Georgia. She is a teacher with The Music Class (TMC), an early childhood music education program that offers music and movement classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. She also brings experience as a language teacher for young children, engaging them in learning through songs, movement, and play. Marlene has extensive choral experience and is currently a member of Yalla Nughani, the Arabic ladies’ choir at The Alif Institute in Atlanta. She loves to celebrate her Syrian Lebanese heritage through Arabic music!
